The Advanced Manufacturing Centre (AMC) set up by HKSTPC in Tseung Kwan O Innovation Park opened on 22 June to house Asia's first integrated automated smart logistics and production facilities, and is now a milestone in Hong Kong's re-industrialisation. Zha Yichao, Chairman of the Science park, specifically mentioned that the driverless forklift technology in AMC was developed from VisionNav Robotics, founded by the research team of Chinese University, and stationed in White Rock Point Science Park, which belongs to the "park company".

Industrial Estate renamed "Innovation Park" Set up Asia's first advanced production facility The Government has vigorously promoted the I&T and re-industrialisation industries in recent years, and HKSTP has earlier repositioned Tseung Kwan O, Tai Po and Yuen Long Industrial Estate as an "Innovation Park" and set up an Advanced Manufacturing Centre (AMC) at Tseung Kwan O Innovation Park, flaunting "Asia's first cross-industry, integrated automation and smart logistics solutions of advanced production facilities". Tseung Kwan O AMC covers an area of 2.71 hectares with a total floor area of about 109,000 square meters, with seven floors and a floor height of six meters, which is expected to accommodate 2,500 I&T staff. The facility provides shared warehouses, shared logistics services, shared prototyping, low-volume assembly support, and dust-free workshops. AMC's logistics center operates 24 hours a day and is equipped with automated equipment, including driverless forklifts and machinery, to load and unload goods.
