MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Memphis Police said a man was killed in an accident Wednesday at a warehouse in southeast Memphis.

According to MPD, the accident happened Wednesday evening at the Coca-Cola warehouse on Southpoint Drive near Pleasant Hill Dr., south of Shelby Dr. Investigators said the unidentified worker was killed while operating a forklift.

Coke Consolidated said in a statement Friday morning: “We are deeply saddened by the tragic loss of our teammate yesterday in our Memphis facility. We are fully cooperating with authorities to determine the circumstances surrounding this tragedy. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family, friends and fellow teammates, and grief counseling and chaplaincy services are available at the facility.”
